Here are the latest happenings at Westminster:

Elective Class begins a new study (07/2009) -

A world class teacher, Professor Isaiah Gafni, will teach
“The Beginnings of Judaism” for the next six months. His DVD lectures will be presented in the Electives classroom each Sunday at 9:15 a.m. combining information from the Hebrew Bible (our Old Testament), other ancient writings, and current archeological findings.

Dr. Gafni will help us understand the roots upon which our own Christian beliefs are founded. Of special interest is his explanation of how the Jews have been able to rationalize some of the terrible passages of their (our) Bible with modern day beliefs. This series is the equivalent of a college course, but without homework. Come and join the spirited discussions after each 30 minute session.
